چکیده
In this paper, vibro-acoustic response of an auxetic sandwich panel driven by a random load is studied. The sandwich structure consists of two skin layers and one core. The core has a cellular structure with auxetic feature (Negative Poisson’s Ratio) and its properties can change in any direction (orthotropic property). By use of such structure, we can design de-sired properties in each direction. A special type of structure, which is called re-entrant hex-agonal honeycomb, is considered to provide the auxetic feature of the core. Here a homoge-nized equivalent model based on the analytical formulations presented for the addressed case is used. The structure is under random Gaussian white noise; and in order to examine effects of the load location on dynamic response, two loading cases are applied to the top surface of the panel. Effects of the geometry of structure on the vibro-acoustic performance of the panel are also evaluated. These parameters include cell angle and skin thickness.
