چکیده
In this paper, the free vibration of a simply supported stiffened composite circular cylindrical shells partially or completely filled with water is investigated by using first shear deformation theory and applying the Rayleigh-Ritz method. Natural frequencies are calculated using minimum potential energy principle in which the total energy consists of the strain and kinetic energy of the shell, stiffeners, and the energy of the liquid. Stiffeners are isotropic including circumferential rings and longitudinal stringers which have a rectangular cross-section and are considered as discrete elements. The fluid is inviscid, incompressible, irrotational, and fluid flow is considered as a potential flow in which the velocity of the fluid along the axial axis is zero, and the surface sloshing is neglected. The natural frequencies of the stiffened circular cylindrical composite shell with internal liquid are obtained, and the results are compared with the past research, good agreement was obtained.
